NMLSTA New Orleans
I am really looking forward to the NSTA conference in New Orleans that begins later this week. Not only does it give me an opportunity to learn many things that I can use in my classroom, but equally important a chance to renew old friendships. I have been attending NSTA conferences for about thirty of my forty years of teaching. My first was in Chicago. I hope to meet more of the members of our organization and further expand these friendships.

We did two NMLSTA sponsored sessions at NSTA with our Let's Explore Science curriculum that were very well attended - close to 70 people at each session. I made a point to begin by giving an overview of NMLSTA and the benefits of membership and invited attendees to other events at New Orleans. I think it is fantastic to see how NMLSTA has evolved just over the few years I have been a part of the organization. Kudos to Dale and Becky for their excellent leadership!
